Netflix is an American entertainment company founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in 1997. It specializes in and provides streaming media and video-on-demand online and DVD by mail. In 2013, Netflix expanded into film and television production, as well as online distribution. As of 2017, the company has its headquarters in Los Gatos, California.
Howell Electric was chosen to provide the design and engineering of security for Netflix at twelve locations across the country. These systems included access control, CCTV, and security alarm for the Los Gatos corporate headquarters, call centers in Oregon, and remote distribution hubs across the United States. The projects consisted of the integration of an AMAG Professional Access Control Platform, Dedicated Micros CCTV System, and Bosch Burglar Alarm Systems.
