Howell Electric was selected to provide pre-construction services, design engineering, fire alarm systems, voice evacuation systems, and smoke control system for Casino M8trix's new high-rise facility. The fire alarm system included a full fire alarm detection system and voice notification with integrated fire-fighters smoke control — design, engineering, installation, commissioning, and final inspection testing all performed in-house on an Edwards Vigilant VM-1 platform.

Fire-Fighters High-Rise Smoke Control System
- Integrated smoke control engineered for an 8-story high-rise gaming and hospitality facility.
- Automated smoke dampers, dedicated fan systems, and pressurization controls configured to activate upon detection of smoke in designated zones.
Page-by-Floor Voice Evacuation System
- Targeted voice evacuation messaging on a floor-by-floor basis for clear, precise occupant notification.
- Edwards Vigilant VM-1 platform driving full fire alarm detection and voice notification.
Firefighters Phones System
- Dedicated two-way firefighters' telephone communication system for use during emergency operations.
- Strategically placed phone jacks throughout the high-rise for fire-department command and control.
Elevator Recall and Shunt Trip Interface
- Full elevator recall Phase I/Phase II interface integrated with the fire alarm control panel.
- Shunt trip interface coordinated with the facility's power infrastructure for life-safety isolation.
Emergency Breathing Apparatus Monitoring
- Monitoring of emergency breathing apparatus stations for firefighter life-safety readiness.
- Integrated alarm and status reporting to the central security control room.
